Hi there doll clothing experts!

I'm hoping someone can help me on this - it's driving me crazy!! When I was a girl (late 70's-early 80's) there was a library book of doll clothes patterns I must have checked out 20 times.

It had all sort of historic doll patterns for a family of dolls, starting in the 1600's, and going through the late 1800's. I remember it had a picture of a girl from the 1600's with pigtails, which I thought was strange, but the book said this was actually a hairstyle then. It also had a "Marie Antoinette" style ballgown, I think.

The book also had patterns for cloth dolls to fit the patterns, but had a big list of dolls they would fit (Barbie fit the adult size, Skipper the child size, and so on).

As I remember, the book was a paperback and had a generic name like "Doll Clothes" - but I can't remember the exact name or author. The patterns were printed on the pages and you had to trace them.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? I would love to have a copy of this book for my own, but I need the author and/or real title! I made several of the outfits as a child (badly handsewn, but I made them).

Thanks in advance!
